On 31 October Sabine Niederer will speak at a symposium at the UvA law faculty, titled 'Discussing Climate Change with Future Generations'. Other speakers include Dila Doğan of Youth for Climate, legal counselor for the Urgenda Foundation Dennis van Berkel and Sven Jense of Climate Cleanup.

You can register for the event here, and of course you are most welcome to bring your students!

This fall, the collective will kick off a new project on climate fiction, Cli-Fi, in which we will experiment with climate storytelling and test new formats for climate change narratives. Are you interested in joining us? Or would you like to suggest interesting reading materials, art works, podcasts, desktop documentaries, other storytelling formats or know of possible project partners? Please find us in BPH room 04A09 or send an email.

Earlier this month The Visual Methodologies Collective participated in two climate-related events in Berlin and Wageningen. On 9-12 October Carlo de Gaetano and Sabine Niederer participated in the MORE WORLD conference. In preparation, the organisers at Berliner Gazette have interviewed Sabine on researching discussions of climate change with social media. You can read the interview online in English or in German. From 16-18 October, the Visual Methodologies Collective contributed to the international conference on visual methods for controversy research at Wageningen University, with a keynote lecture.
