Round Table Conference composites and maintenance18 feb 2013 13:53
On the 17th of January 2013, students of the honoursprogramme Aviation Engineering organized a round table conference themed composites and maintenance. A large amount of statements were discussed by an interesting and divers panel of experts from the industry, after which people from the audience could ask questions.
Experts from KLM, Delft Technical University, Fokker, ArkeFly and others discussed statements related to the monitoring of composite structures, after which the audience was able to actively participate and ask questions.
Ton van Deursen (Jetsupport), Sven de Boer (ProjectsOne) and Verena Six (KLM E&M) continued with discussions on the subject Lean in aerospace MRO. Statements included ‘predictability and variation in MRO demand flexibility instead of standardization’ and ‘a continuous improving organization always starts with an external consultant’.
Finally, all guests could enjoy a drink and a snack while further discussing the subjects. A big success!
