Roots & Soul
Experience a mini-market bursting with flavours, music, and a celebration of independence

FLOOR invites you to a vibrant mini-market full of spices, sounds, and stories. This year marks 80 years since Indonesia declared independence, 50 years since Suriname gained independence, and 15 years since the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles. Through food, spoken word, music, and dance, we celebrate these milestones that reflect a long and sometimes ongoing journey toward freedom.
Join us between 15:00 and 17:00 for soul food and street food, a spoken word performance by Jonathan Tjien Fooh, Indonesian music and dance by Krishna Sutedja and Wayan Pitriana (Vivi), and a creative space where you can share your thoughts on freedom, roots, and identity.
