Dutch Applied AI Award first to be launched
12 okt 2020 15:13 | Applied Artificial IntelligenceICT professional Computable, Podcast De Dataloog and the Amsterdam University of Applied Science (HvA) will be launching the first ever Dutch Applied AI Award. Out of 52 nominations a jury of five specialists in the field of AI have chosen 10 nominees that will have the chance to win the award.
The nominees are diverse in nature. They consist of tech startups that use AI in their business operations, products that integrate AI and projects that use AI. The contenders have been and will be judged on applicability, uniqueness, transparency and social value. The eight nominees are listed here:
- Dearhealth
- Grondradartechnologie op basis van ai-technologie (MapXact (VolkerWessels Telecom) en BrainCreators)
- Insurance-as-a-service (Risk en Friss)
- Optimaliseren on-time performancevliegtuigen (Schiphol)
- Polpo
- Project FARM (Capgemini)
- Ruler compliance software (Charco & Dique, Lifely en Return)
- Xs2radio
The jury of the Dutch Applied AI Award 2020 consists of:
- Maaike Harbers, Lector (Professor of Applied Sciences) Artificial Intelligence & Society at the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences
- Jurjen Helmus, Owner of De Dataloog and Expert Smart Asset Management at the HvA Expertise Center for Applied Artificial Intelligence
- Nanda Piersma – Scientific Director at the HvA Expertise Center for Applied Artificial Intelligence
- Henk-Jan Vink, Managing Director at TNO Unit ICT and co-writer of the Dutch AI strategy
- Jann de Waal, Founder of INFO and Chairman of Top Sector Creative Industries of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate
On November 24th the jury will announce which nominee will receive the Dutch Applied AI Award.
