dr. R.A. Martina (Richard)
Richard werkt als onderzoeker in het onderzoeksprogramma Urban Technology. Hij bestudeert business modellen voor een circulaire economie en de tools waarmee die modellen worden ontworpen. Ook onderzoekt hij ondernemerschap bij de Smart City Academy en het Lectoraat Ondernemerschap. Richard richt zich vooral op collaboratief ondernemerschap en de verbinding met onderwijs en innovatie. Hij kijkt daarbij in het bijzonder naar de rol van cognitie, emoties, het nemen van beslissingen en het ontwikkelen van (ondernemerschap)expertise.
Circulaire business modellen
Richard is er van overtuigd dat ons huidige economische model voor take-make-dispose niet meer werkt. We halen meer grondstoffen uit de natuurlijke omgeving dan zij kan aanvullen. Dat stelt de samenleving voor grote uitdagingen en zorgt voor een toenemende behoefte aan mensen met ondernemersmentaliteit die oplossingen kunnen bedenken. Richard is dan ook zeer gemotiveerd om vanuit de wetenschap inzicht te verschaffen in de drijfveren van ondernemers en de business modellen die zij gebruiken om positieve impact op natuur en samenleving te kunnen realiseren.
Innovatie & ondernemerschap
Richard haalde zijn PhD in Entrepreneurship en Innovatie, een MSc in Strategy & Innovation en een MA in Science & Technology Studies aan Maastricht University. Daarnaast heeft hij een BSc in Business Administration behaald aan de Universiteit van Curaçao.
