Hogeschool van Amsterdam

Global Business Skills

This GBS course offers you the opportunity to study precisely what works - and what doesn’t work - for the essential trading nations in today’s interconnected world. Join students and lecturers from Amsterdam and abroad for concise and fun lessons, offering you advice on how to conduct business professionally from Texas to Tehran, from Tallinn to Twente. Previous GBS modules received a hallmarked evaluation score of 9.2 (the highest AUAS elective-evaluation-score from 2014 onward).

All students take part in an ongoing academic research, polling qualified respondents in a multinational survey, conducting worldwide expert-interviews (video and audio), and analysing local academic literature. This results in a proper published management book, allowing you to add an ISBN to your CV.  Have a look at some sample publications of previous GBS courses on GooglePlay: https://tinyurl.com/ccbsongoogleplay or on Amazon.

A tailor-made textbook, 100% edited in-house. All you need to know in one single book. Numerous YouTube tutorials, produced in-house.

Many classes are also available as web lecture, and you will have access to an excellent online resource depository. Facebook is the main communication tool during the course. You will also work in the cloud with your team members and teachers, in shared Office documents (OneDrive).

You are welcome to join (depending on the semester): the Spring School (PR) in Georgia (end of May), or the Autumn School in Cluj, Romania (emerging markets, end of October). Both trips are at your own expense, but provided at a low price.
