Profiel

Renée Heller, gepromoveerd aan de Universiteit Utrecht op een onderzoek naar waterstofopslag in dunne metaallagen, is sinds 2020 lector Energie en Innovatie aan de Hogeschool van Amsterdam. Daarvoor was zij hoofddocent Sustainable Energy Systems binnen de opleiding Engineering en het onderzoeksprogramma Urban Technology. Zij begon in 2014 bij de HvA als projectmanager Bachelor Engineering.

Heller studeerde Natuurkunde en Algemene Letteren aan de Universiteit van Utrecht (1988-1995). Na haar promotie werkte Heller een aantal jaren bij Ecofys, een internationaal adviesbureau gespecialiseerd in energiebesparing en duurzame energie. Vanaf 2011 was zij unitmanager van de units Gebouwde Omgeving en later Integrale Energiesystemen.

Renée is lid van de Wetenschappelijke Raad van Advies van Milieu Centraal en actief in de lectorenplatforms LEVE en Urban Energy.
