Enrolment and study check

International Business

You can no longer enrol for the 2019-2020 academic year. The enrolment period closed on 1 May. If you are enrolled in a different degree programme at AUAS or another higher education institution in the Netherlands and wish to (or have to) transfer to a different programme, you are exempted from this deadline. An exemption also applies if you enrolled before 1 May but would like to switch your enrolment to a different degree programme. In that case, you must do so by no later than 15 August.

The study check is a mandatory part of the enrolment procedure for applicants with a Dutch secondary school diploma. Visit study check for information on the regulations and exceptions that apply.

Our application procedure is as follows:

  1. Sign up in Studielink before 1 May.
  2. When you have signed up in Studielink and possess a non-Dutch secondary school diploma, you will automatically receive an invitation by email from the Central Student Administration (CSA) to submit copies before a certain deadline, of your non-Dutch diplomas and previous education for evaluation. Read more about our credentials evaluation.
  3. Applicants with a Dutch secondary school diploma will automatically receive an email invitation for the mandatory study check.
    1. For the study check, students need to do an online test and will have to attend a study check day at our campus.

PLEASE NOTE: The admissions and immigration process for prospective international students with Bangladeshi, Nepalese and Pakistani nationalities will take approximately 5 months to process. Therefore, prospective students from these three countries are encouraged to apply (via studielink.nl) and submit all their admissions documents to Central Student Administration before 1 March.

Do you want to study International Business? If you have a Dutch secondary school diploma, you are required to complete the mandatory study check.

If you are embarking on the International Business degree programme in September 2019, make sure to sign up for the mandatory study check. The purpose of the study check is to help you get a realistic picture of the programme.

On this page you will find all the information you need about enrolment and the mandatory study check. The study check is mandatory for prospective students with a Dutch secondary school diploma.

Spam folder

If you have submitted an enrolment application via Studielink but do not see an invitation in your inbox, make sure to check your spam folder. Sometimes emails from AUAS will end up there.

The study check consists of an online assessment, to be completed at home.

Contents of the online assessment

The online assessment will introduce you to the most important subjects within the International Business degree programme. This will help you to ascertain whether this is the best degree programme for you. The online assessment includes video clips, tests and a case study.

Complete the online assessment before the deadline

The exact deadline will be stated in the online assesment environment. Completing the assessment will take you about 8 hours. You will only be able to start the degree programme in September if you complete the online assessment by the stated deadline.

Around 91% of the prospective International Business students who did the study check last year were sure of their study choice after having completed the online assessment.

The mandatory study check for your programme consists of an online assessment. It does not include a meeting at the AUAS.

When you will receive the link to the online assessment depends on when you register for the study check.

  • By 31 July: you will receive an email on 1 August
  • Between 1 August and 11 August: you will receive an email on 12 August
  • Between 12 August and 15 August: you will receive an email on 19 August at the latest

Make sure to check your spam folder as well. Sometimes emails from AUAS will end up there.

If you have fully completed the online assessment and have done so in time, you will receive a recommendation on your choice of degree programme within two weeks after the deadline for the online assessment.

The study choice advice is based on the results of the tests in the online assessment. This recommendation is not binding. This means that you can enrol in the International Business degree programme even if the recommendation is negative.
