EvenementAlways wanted to give a drag performance? Drag queen Eve Fatale and drag king Niek le Freak provide all the tools you need for an impressive performance in this workshop.
In honor of Coming Out Day, FLOOR and HvA Pride teamed up to organize a workshop Drag perfomance. We use this day as an opportunity to play with identity and gender. With drag, you can create a character through makeup, wigs, and clothing, where expression is key. In this workshop we create a safe space to bring your own drag persona to life. From a glamorous queen to a gender-bending king or club kid, experiment with a character that suits you.

Program
- 14:30 Doors open
- 14:45 Inspiration session: interview + Q&A with Eve and Niek
- 15:05 Workshop: create your own drag character (a drag name, personality, and appearance)
- 15:45 Masterclass performance + practice with feedback
❗Before the workshop, you’ll receive a small homework assignment where you answer a few questions to start thinking about your drag persona.
❗ There will be items available for you to borrow to help you get into character. You are also welcome to bring your own makeup, clothing, shoes, and/or a wig.
The worskhop is given by Drag queen Eve Fatale and drag king Niek le Freak. The majority of the workshop is focused on performance and stage presence. We will also work on creating a drag character by coming up with a name, personality traits, and designing a face chart. Additionally, we will cover a bit of history and Eve and Niek will share more about their own drag journeys. Together we will create a safe space where we can experiment, laugh, and celebrate who we are together.
Eve Fatale
Like the sirens did to the poor fishermen at sea, Eve will lure you into a night of glamour, tease, ecstasy and mystery. This burlesque diva of your dreams is ready to sparkle until she drops! Keep your eyes peeled! You never know how much you’re going to see, but you’ll always want more😉
Niek le Freak
Meet Niek le Freak! This drag king from Amsterdam embodies glamour, freakiness, and sex appeal. Niek draws inspiration from the joyful world of cartoons, the dark allure of villains, and the vibrant queer culture. Through his drag, he explores various aspects of masculinity and celebrates being trans. In this workshop, Niek le Freak will teach you everything about using sex appeal, glitter, and reveals as superpowers to discover new sides of yourself and take the audience to a thrilling peak!
