Cursus

This course is suited for students or starting professionals who are interested in a career in international marketing communications. Not only will you gain deep knowledge of global advertising and marketing, but you will also develop your English language skills at the highest level. This is a day-time course and is taught entirely in English.

Course objectives 

The aim of this course to develop your global marketing communication knowledge and professional Business English language skills.

Global marketing communications

By the end of the course you will have acquired a high level of global marketing communication expertise. You should be able to apply your expertise to real business cases and be competent in developing global marketing communication strategies as well as planning and execution.  

Business English

This course also prepares students for the Cambridge Business English Certificate Higher Exams (BEC Higher). The Business English Certificates (BEC) are internationally recognized qualifications that show employers your skills in using English in the workplace. The course focuses on improving both fluency and listening skills in business situations, such as meetings and telephone conversations, as well as in improving writing skills for business: letters, reports and proposals. 

For who? This course is suited for students or starting professionals who are interested in a career in international marketing communications, and who already have a reasonable grasp of English.
Certificate  After completing the course you will receive a certificate. 
Duration 

The duration of the course is five months. The program is divided in two blocks of ten weeks. For more information see the annual planning

Time use

The average number of study hours is 20 hours a week inclusive college hours. 

Price 

The price for attending the course and taking the exams is € 2100 and the costs for books amount to approximately € 250. 

Course assignments and exams

The course assignments and exam in this course are:

  • Marketing communications campaigns one of which to be developed in a virtual international team. 
  • Academic paper for which you will have to conduct in-depth research into a marketing communications topic. 
  • Written exam based on a real-life business case in which you will apply your marketing communications knowledge and expertise.  

Entry requirements

A Dutch HAVO, VWO or MBO-4 diploma is required and work experience. You need to demonstrate advanced knowledge of marketing and English language ability at upper intermediate level. Therefore, you will be required to send in a motivation letter in English when applying for the course.
