Margo MJ van Hartingsveldt (MSc OT) is pediatric occupational therapist, director and assistant professor Occupational Therapy at the Amsterdam School for Health Professions, Hogeschool van Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Margo van Hartingsveldt graduated at the Occupational Therapy School for Higher Education in Weesp (1983), and as a Master of Science in Allied Health Care at the Radboud University of Nijmegen (2003, cum laude).

She worked as a pediatric occupational therapist for 25 years in The Netherlands, Surinam and the Netherlands Antilles.

Her expertise is in the area of fine motor skills and (pre)writing skills and the development of assessments of (pre)writing problems (SOESSS, KOEK and SOESSS-V).

PhD project: Development of an occupation-based assessment: Writing Readiness Inventory Tool in Context (WRITIC). Other theme of interest is theoretic development of Occupational Therapy in the Netherlands (first author of the Dutch Profile for Occupational Therapists and co-editor of the 3rd edition of ‘Grondslagen van de ergotherapie’).
