The Aviation Management research programme is being set up in close cooperation with the existing Aviation Engineering research programme. Aviation Management focuses on capacity management and how to accommodate future growth of the aviation industry within limiting framework conditions.
The above is illustrated by the current selectivity discussion in and around Schiphol. This does not just include the policy discussion, but mainly the operational consequences of such a decision. For example, what are the effects of selective growth on the operational process of airports, airlines, ground handlers and governments? You could think of the development and implementation of solutions such as CDM (Collaborative Decision Making, gate-to-gate and even door-to-door. The research programme will continue to be filled in the upcoming period. We will not only inform you about these developments, but also invite you to participate.
